Lord the best things in life I have missed.
"Do what's right" friends would insist.
Why didn't I listen to what they had to say?
Then I would know so much more about God today.
If only I could live my life over again.
Then a much different life I would begin.
If I could turn back time on my life I would.
Then my life to Christ I would give; oh, if only I could.
No one knows this better than me.
Sin does not pay, on this I have to agree. No one is more qualified than me to say, Far away from sin you must stay.
The path I was on I was going the wrong way. But the right decision I finally made one day.
When God opened my eyes so I could see, Where the path I was on was leading me.
So many mistakes along the way I made.
And for them I have surely paid.
But God was merciful and forgave me.
This is the way He always wanted it to be.
Let me tell you a little about sin.
It is a deceiver; you can never win.
But if you decide to change your ways,
Christ will give you a better life than all your yesterdays.
One more bit of advice I have for you.
Not to live life as I did, but give your life to Christ, that do.
Then you won't have to face your guilt and shame.
He will give you a life free of all the things you are to blame.

No other sacrifice would do.
God sent His Son to die for me and you.
"Let this cup pass from Me", Jesus cried.
It wasn't enough though, until He died.
On the cross Jesus cried.
God saw it was enough so He died.
Now God was fully satisfied,
Never again would He be tested and tried.
Now we come to God, in Jesus' name.
The One that was and will always be the same.
How would I have ever known the way, If Jesus had not come and died that day?
God thought His plan out very well.
Without His Son's death, I would go to hell.
Jesus did come to show me the way.
Then the time came and He died for me that day.
Many years have come and gone, And things are certain to go wrong.
Satan sees to it that it happens that way, But the sacrifice was sufficient for me that day.
Now, no other sacrifice is needed.
My life according to His word I have heeded.
His word now always shows me His way.
All because He sacrificed His life for me that day.
So now the only sacrifice I ask of you,
Give your life to Me and I will show you what to do. And I will keep you as you go down life's pathway.
As I listened to My Father and died for you that day.
