Lord, I have waited so long to go to that promised land, Won't I ever get to see that nail scarred hand?
And look upon the One that died for me, Lord, how much longer will it be?
We won't know when it is time for You to come, But You will give me grace and then some, The time will come when Your face I shall see, But how much longer will it be?
You say for us not to worry about tomorrow, And there will be times of sorrow,
But Lord it is You I want to see,
How much longer will it be?
Lord, for Your work my life I gladly give, In and through You I want to live.
Lord it is You I want to see.
But how much longer will it be?
I know You promised to always be with me, Even now I rejoice in Thee,
But Lord, it is You I want to see,
So, How much longer will it be?
You will be there in the time of my hurts, And when satan offers me all his perks; But it's You Lord I want to see, How much longer must it be?
Lord, You know all the suffering we go through, I have prayed, and don't know what else to do; Lord, Your face, is what I long to see,
But, how much longer will it be?

Is your joy and peace completely gone?
Does it seem it has been that way so long?
Keep your trust in the One that cannot fail, And will keep you when the storms of life assail.
He does not make a promise He will not keep. He promises if you are faithful you will reap.
You can have the promise of the life that now is, And eternal life to all that are His.
On His word you can rely,
And none of His promises He will deny.
Never be afraid to ask;
Your needs are not that great a task.
Come boldly to the throne of grace.
In Him all your troubles you can face. He will be there in your time of need.
Ask, believe. You don't have to beg or plead.
The promises are yours if in His word they are said.
Get His word in your heart, not just in your head.
Trust in, depend on what is said in His word.
Don't always rely on just what you have heard.
Take time each day for His word and pray, When things go wrong, in His word you must stay.
See if there isn't a promise just for you.
Ask and see what God will do.
Don't be discouraged when the devil comes to say:
"God does not keep His promises, not yesterday or any day."
God's promises are sure.
His word is timeless, ageless and pure.
