When First We Did Meet PDF Print E-mail

How long have I waited for an answer to a prayer?
When I pray are You even aware?
Forever, is that how long I must wait?
At the bottom with You I must rate.
I once had some self esteem,
I was in love with God ... Supreme.
Why have things turned so bad; when it was so sweet?
Like it was when first we did meet?
Nothing seems to go right,
When I cry out You shut the door tight.
When I call upon Your Name.
No must be my answer, nothing is the same.
Is the door to Heaven ever going to open again? How do I get in touch with You, how do I begin?
When I call You never seem to hear, Away from me You turn Your ear.
Anymore You must never be around.
When I search, You can't be found.
I sure struggle having to make it on my own, Far away You must have flown.
I come to You as I always have, hoping to be heard, When I prayed, I used to feel assured.
But now I hear nothing when I pray,
You seem to have vanished, nothing You have to say.
You never have to live your life in fear, My Spirit is in your heart, be of good cheer.
Problems in life may seem to never end, But I will always be your very best friend.

It Was Enough PDF Print E-mail

Through His wounds our Savior bled, Not another drop need be shed.
Enough was shed to cleanse every heart, And those who believe on Him are very smart.
We no longer need the blood of bulls and goats, Neither can our sins be hid behind our cloaks.
We need the blood of God's perfect lamb.
Not the sacrifice of a ram.
Christ, the perfect sacrifice was slain, And in another man's tomb He was lain.
He wasn't long in the grave, To sin we no longer are a slave.
He died for all so all could live.
His own life He came to give.
There was no other sacrifice that would do, This one was enough for the world, for you.
The blood of an animal could never take away sin, It had to be offered over and over again.
The prophets spoke of the One that was to come, It was a sacrifice sufficient for everyone.
This is the only sacrifice God will show respect.
Anything else He would not accept.
Works without Him will not do,
This sacrifice was prepared just for me and you.
We must believe it was enough once and for all, Now He wants to place in every heart, His call.
Yes, Jesus came and died,
He now sits on God's right hand ... Glorified.
