Sin and mercy started in the garden,
Only God could show mercy, and give a pardon.
There was no place they could hide.
No longer could God come and walk by their side.
Sin became part of the life of Adam, Eve and Cain, Now in every person sin would reign,
Until the time when Jesus came,
Now mercy and forgiveness we would regain.
When it was time for the flood, Noah offered a sacrifice of blood.
N ow the true sacrifice has been revealed, The sins of all mankind could be healed.
God shows his mercy to a thousand generations, And reveals His mercy and manifestations. Mercy is shown to the strong and the weak.
It is given to those that follow Him, and mercies seek.
At the cross God's mercy to us was shown.
Man didn't deserve God's will to be known.
His mercy is shown to all,
Won't you listen to Him now, and heed His call?
Just come to Jesus, He will show His mercy now.
Jesus will help you, He knows just how.
If only you knew just how much He loves you, If you knew how much for you He wants to do.
On the cross mercy was shown to all that day.
But to reveal His mercy, a great price He must pay.
But until the time our goal we reach, Jesus, love, and mercy we must teach.
