Patience Wearing Thin Print

The toils of life have worn my patience thin. It sure is terrible the way things have been.
I didn't know it would be like this,
But most of all Your presence is what I miss.
Lord, there is so much to face along the way.
Won't You come with just a word for me today?
I just wish I could see a speck of light, So I would know the end is in sight.
Is it possible all this will change for me today?
Lord speak, I will listen to what You have to say. I will obey, if only You will show me what to do.
How much longer before I hear from You?
My trust has and always will remain in You, But now I just don't know what else to do.
I don't mind going the extra mile,
If I knew on Your face there would be a smile.
Is this going to continue on this way, Or is it going to be worse than today?
Then I just pray for Your grace. To face the things I have to face.
When will I be free from all this pain?
When will You come and visit me again?
I have always known You will see me through, But oh how hard it is while waiting on You.
When you are awake or while you are asleep, My grace is sufficient; you it will safely keep.
In Me you have kept your trust and obeyed, And through it all, you were never swayed.
