Lord, why have You turned Your back on me? The things I am going through; don't You see? I know You love me, because You suffered and died. The things I've been through, are You still not satisfied? You said we wouldn't have to face these battles all alone. Is there something in my life You want to hone? When will there be a little relief? Is peace gone forever, and nothing left but pain and grief? Why don't You answer me when Your name I call upon? Have You forgotten me; will You answer before very long? Are You no longer the same? If I have done wrong, show me, and I will take the blame. From me You must have taken Your flight. In my heart I believe I am doing what is right. You have just vanished from sight. Must my days also be turned into night? Lord, it seems I am just worn out. Is this what serving You is all about? If it would help, out loud would I shout. Would You just put me on a different route? Even in the worst of times after You I did seek. Won't You look down; won't You at least take a peek? Don't You see how badly I hurt? Then me also You desert. Do you know someone whose world has been turned upside down? And they feel they have been trampled right into the ground? Go and encourage them, and for them pray. And I truly believe your own troubles will start to vanish away.
