If there was no forgiveness, Then there would be no hope. In life I could not cope, If Christ had said nope. If there was no forgiveness, In darkness I would always be. The light of Christ I would never see, Sin would always have its hold on me. If there was no forgiveness, In sin I would always be. Eternal life I would not see, At death Christ would not welcome me. If there was no forgiveness, A part of God's family I could never be. From sin I could not be free, Sin would be in control of me. If there was no forgiveness, Then Christ I would never see. No joy would there be in me, In Heaven I would never be. If there was no forgiveness, His fellowship I would never know. In Christ's likeness I could not grow, And to Hell I would surely go. Christ did not leave us without forgiveness, He came and set me free from sin. It will not be part of my life ever again, I have been forgiven, now Christ dwells within.
