Jesus died on the cross for our sins that day.
He knew there was no other way.
Heaven had a temporary loss, While Jesus came and died on the cross.
"The cross is not a good way to die, I know.
But for the people we created, I will go.
Going to the cross is what I must do. I must get the family back for You."
Jesus took the curse when He died on that tree.
No one else could do that for me.
Dying was what He came to do, And the cross was the way, He knew.
The cross, there was a need for one.
On it must die, God's Son.
Death on the cross is the way it had to be.
No other way could it be done for me.
It was said, "Christ must be lifted up."
The cross was that bitter cup.
No more need for the cross will there ever be.
Once was enough for all eternity.
It was Heaven and earth's gain, not loss, When Jesus died on the cross.
He came to show us the way.
It was now time to die; this was the day.
