Lord, I have waited so long to go to that promised land, Won't I ever get to see that nail scarred hand? And look upon the One that died for me, Lord, how much longer will it be? We won't know when it is time for You to come, But You will give me grace and then some, The time will come when Your face I shall see, But how much longer will it be? You say for us not to worry about tomorrow, And there will be times of sorrow, But Lord it is You I want to see, How much longer will it be? Lord, for Your work my life I gladly give, In and through You I want to live. Lord it is You I want to see. But how much longer will it be? I know You promised to always be with me, Even now I rejoice in Thee, But Lord, it is You I want to see, So, How much longer will it be? You will be there in the time of my hurts, And when satan offers me all his perks; But it's You Lord I want to see, How much longer must it be? Lord, You know all the suffering we go through, I have prayed, and don't know what else to do; Lord, Your face, is what I long to see, But, how much longer will it be?
