On Judgment Day and before God you stand.
What will your defense be; what evidence is at hand?
What will God find when He opens the books?
Will He say what you want to hear when He looks?
Will sorrow show on His face?
When before God, was your life a disgrace?
Will He look sad when He sees what is written there?
Was your life empty and bare?
Did you take His birth and death as just a fable?
That He never existed, never born in a stable?
Or, that He was just a mortal, And never came from Heaven's portal?
During those years of grace and mercy, did you repent?
To redeem you to the earth, Christ was sent.
Did you invite Him into your heart?
Christ has been waiting to give you a new start.
What if the last opportunity has now past?
And before God you stand at last.
What will you say to Him on Judgment Day?
You thought your life was okay.
Now, what will you do when before God you stand?
What did you do with Jesus, with His outstretched hand?
On Judgment Day, will you hear, "Well done!"
Or, "Depart from Me, you rejected My Son"?
In eternity, is Heaven the place you will be?
God wants us there, you and me.
Now, what will you do with Jesus while it is yet today?
Remember, there is no other way!
