The curse must be broken at any cost, Something must be done; the human race was lost.
To free man, Christ would have to die.
Oh, if there was some other way, He would try.
The curse was strong this He saw,
Man must be delivered from the curse of the law.
God saw that no other way would do,
His Son would have to die, this He did for you.
On Calvary's hill His hands were nailed to the tree.
So that from sin and the curse I could be free.
Cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree, This is the only way; this is the way it had to be.
Cursed is everyone that continues not in all the law, Moses said.
Christ came to fulfill the law, but no longer is He dead.
Now we know the curse could be broken, Christ fulfilled the word about Him that was spoken.
God's heart was grieved about what His Son would go through, He loved us so much; it was something He was willing to do.
Can you imagine such love as His?
So to break the curse, this is the way it is.
A good plan the Lord had sought, From the curse, for us Christ has brought.
Now rejoice because you are set free.
It was a great price, but it was the way it had to be.
So He came to this earth to die, Sin was the reason why.
Into the future He could see, This is the way it had to be.
