Your life before God and man hasn't been very nice, God loves you; He thinks you are a pearl of great price.
The potential in you God could see.
If you had planned your life the way He wants it to be.
From beginning to end He saw your life.
He knew it would be filled with bitterness and strife.
He knew of the sorrow and pain.
He knew one day a new life in Him you would begin.
He knew of the good times and the bad.
He knew the ups and mostly downs you have had.
He saw your life laden with sin, And knew there was no peace within.
Death started following you around.
It stayed close but didn't make a sound.
God knew what sin would do. If only you could realize it too.
He knew sin was taking its toll on you, But a change you were not ready to do.
He saw the things going on that should not be.
He just wished all this you could see.
If you didn't change, you were on a path of no return, But sin was like a flame that had to burn.
He saw what a grip it had on you.
He would wait and see what you decided to do.
You finally realized the results of sin, And asked Jesus to come and dwell within.
Now you are that pearl of great worth, You have now experienced the new birth.
