The day I asked Christ into my life I remember very well.
To make a change, I needed Him to come in and dwell.
Sin I wanted out of my life, of it I am now rid.
Who did this for me? Jesus did.
Sin in my life only Christ could remove.
And only You, my life could improve.
No longer to sin do I have to bow; Christ came, He dwells there now.
Sin in my life once did dwell.
Christ delivered me, so you, I now can tell.
I am no longer in bondage to sin.
Christ took that away; now He lives within.
All I could see was sin and death in me.
Was there something else in me Christ could see?
Did He see one day Him I would serve?
I called ahead: my place in Heaven He did reserve.
Not one of Your creation do You want to perish.
You love each one; each one You cherish.
The price for sin has been paid;
The foundation for righteousness has been laid.
His love reaches out to all that will come.
Buy milk and honey without cost; it is free to everyone.
Only God knew one day what would take place, He prepared a sacrifice for me or death I would face.
If you are tired of the way you live, Christ is the answer: your life to Him give.
He will hear if you ask, so ask, be the next one.
He is waiting with arms outstretched .... come.
