We complain when we should rejoice, We complain when having to make a choice.
Even toward You Lord we complain, Because You do not remove this pain.
We complain when it is hot and when it is cold.
We complain when there is not enough silver and gold.
We complain when things are good and bad, We complain about the rotten day we just had.
We complain when the day doesn't go right, We complain when we have to go on a diet,
We complain when there is no answer when we pray, Because our troubles do not go away.
We complain when our job doesn't meet our need, We complain when we ask and God doesn't heed.
We complain when there is really no reason, We complain the year round, it has no season.
We complain when someone neglects to speak, We get hurt instead of staying humble and meek.
We complain when we have to wait, We complain when we run late.
We complain when we should be quite, When we complain, in us does God delight?
It must be in our nature to complain, Because we do it over and over again.
Can we just remember next time not to complain?
Or, are we always in that state going to remain?
When we start to complain, refrain, God I know will help us to restrain.
